Artificial Intelligence and Social Robotics in Business
This interdisciplinary volume examines how artificial intelligence (AI) and social robotics are reshaping business, healthcare, finance, and supply chains, highlighting the frameworks needed for responsible, trustworthy innovation.
Section I moves from national strategy to organizational and sectoral applications. It examines the United States’ strategy for global AI leadership, human-centric AI adoption in organizations, and healthcare AI regulation in the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union. Further chapters address AI’s effects on economic growth, health insurance, and financial services.
Section II turns to robotics and embodied AI. It compares robotics governance in supply chains across the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and China; examines legal questions of robot deception; and considers AI-powered smart glasses for people with intellectual disabilities and anthropomorphic robots in hospitals.
Combining theory, comparative analysis, and practice, the volume addresses trust, transparency, accountability, and human oversight. It will interest scholars, students, and policymakers in business, AI governance, ethics, healthcare, supply chain management, and human-robot interaction.
