Artificial Intelligence in Accounting, Auditing and Finance
This book focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for accounting, auditing, and finance. It explores how AI can be leveraged to perform various tasks within these fields and offers real life examples to illustrate its features and facilitate implementation. The book further examines how different AI technologies, such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and others, can be used to improve processes and functions in accounting and financial reporting. Furthermore, the authors explain the different subsets of Artificial Intelligence and how they can be used for practical purposes. Prof. Michael Olajide Adelowotan, a chartered accountant, is currently an Associate Professor for Accounting at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa). He teaches financial accounting, cost and management accounting as well as public sector accounting. His research focus is on corporate reporting practices and 4IR accounting. He has worked as an auditor and tax consultant in various auditing and tax consultancy firms before joining the higher education sector as a lecturer and researcher.
Dr. Collins Achepsah Leke is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, Department of Accountancy (South Africa). His research interests are multi-disciplinary, and they include the applications of computational intelligence and deep learning to engineering, computer science, finance, social science and medicine. He has published two books on Deep Learning and Missing Data in Engineering Systems, and on Machine Learning specifically optimization and decision making.
