Digital Industry Leadership
This book is a practical guide for applying theories of digital disruption, such as Schumpeter’s theory of creative destruction, within existing leadership and strategic management frameworks. Such frameworks discussed in the book include: Schneider & Anderie’s Digital Business Framework, Porter’s Five Forces, and Agile methodologies, among others. The first part of the book discusses concepts such as algorithmic leadership, agentic AI, Industry 4.0 and technology ethics, setting up a foundation for the second part of the book, which provides methods to analyze digitalization of industries, challenges and opportunities. The third part of the book applies these concepts and guides through a series of sector-specific analyses, including health technology, food technology, and e-commerce technologies. A key highlight of the book is its focus on prompt engineer for implementing large language models (LLMs) for management strategy. Written for entrepreneurs and executives, the book presents an accessible guide that may also be used by advanced students.
