Incredible interest has been focused on digital transformation (DX) to solve a wide variety of worldwide challenges as impediments to sustainable development goals. Biografische Anmerkung
Yasuhiro Kawahara is Professor in Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the Open University of Japan. He majored in Environmental Information and Microsystems at Graduate School of Frontier Sciences in the University of Tokyo, and received a PhD in 2005. Previously, he worked as Project Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo from 2006 to 2010, Lecturer at Kobe University in 2010, Visiting Associate Professor at Tokyo University of Science from 2011 to 2013, Associate Professor at the Open University of Japan from 2011 to 2025; and Professor from 2025. He is visiting researcher at Jean Monnet University from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of executive board of Human Communication Group in IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers in Japan). He has published papers in the fields of mobile computing and environmental cognitive science. Research concern is to develop methods of monitoring human cognition and behavior and evaluate them under particular stimulus in daily life and medical therapy.   Yoshitada Katagiri has established the field of micro-optomechatronics for telecommunications, working at the R&D center of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation for 23 years since 1985. Katagiri pursued brain and health sciences, collaborating with the late Professor Toshio Kawamata, an authority on neuropathology at Kobe University, from 2013 to 2019, while working at National Institute of Information and Communications Technology from 2007 to 2019. He continued to pursue brain science at the University of Tokyo from 2019 to 2024, collaborating with Professor Ungil Change. In 2024, he moved to Applied Chemistry as Vice President (ongoing). Katagiri graduated from Institute of Science Tokyo, and received Ph D from the University of Tokyo. He was awarded the title of Senior Member of the Optical Society of America (Optica) in 2011.
