End of an Economic System?

The capitalist economic system is criticized worldwide and, in some cases, vigorously opposed, even though it has generated considerable prosperity over the past decades. Numerous innovative concepts seek either to mitigate the negative effects of capitalism or to abolish it altogether. Some even see the solution in a shrinking capitalist economy, although this cannot work in practice, as growth is an essential feature of this economic system. Variants of socialism, which have demonstrably failed in the past, continue to reappear. What would a new economic system look like that could serve as a more realistic and viable alternative? An economic system that is environmentally sustainable, socially balanced, and above all focused on human happiness and well-being: a reformed capitalism.

Contents

  • The urgent need for a new economic system
  • How effective are innovative concepts?
  • Reformed capitalism as an alternative
  • Its key elements and forms of implementation
