Exploration on China’s Economic System Reform under New Normal of Development
This book sorts out basic logic of China’s economic system reform during the past more than 30 years, points out new context of China’s reform nowadays; puts forward reform thinking in this new context, emphasizes on enhancing reform force, keeping reform tenacity and the importance of promoting reform continuously. The most important logic of China’s reform is to promote its reform continuously under the great background of global institutional competition and reform competition.
Xiaojing Zhang, is a professor of Economics and the General Office Director, Academic Division of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He is the chief economist of the Laboratory of Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy Simulation. His research interests are open economy macroeconomics, economic growth and development economics. He was a Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund in 2009; a visiting professor at Harvard University and National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in 2006-2007; and a visiting fellow at Stockholm School of Economics, from 1999-2000. He’s also been playing a very active role in the research and consulting work for the national 11th Five-year Plan, 12th Five-year Plan, and 13th Five-year Plan. As an author of several books and papers, Prof. Zhang is also the recipient of prestigious awards such as the SUN Yefang Economics Prize (Top Economics Award in China) for 2005 and 2007
