As the complexity of administering public policy increases, the legal responsibilities of public managers increase as well. This textbook is designed to help public managers know what the law requires of them, and how to meet those responsibilities. While appropriate for administrators at all levels of US government, the book emphasizes the legal environment of state and local government.
