LISS 2024
This proceedings volume focuses on the “AI and data driven technical and management innovation in logistics, informatics and services”. In detail the included scientific papers analyze the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of logistics, informatics, service operations and service science. The proceedings volume is documentation of LISS 2024 at Cape Town and Beijing in July 26-29, 2024. It is co-organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, Henley Business School Africa, Beijing Information Science and Technology University and Beijing Wuzi University.
Daqing Gong, professor, currently serves as the branch secretary and deputy director of the Information Management Department of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University, and the executive director of the International Research Center for Information Management Theory and Technology at Beijing Jiaotong University. The main research directions include: transportation system modeling, information technology theory and application, engineering operation and maintenance risk management, etc.
Yixuan Ma, Ph.D. graduate from Beijing Jiaotong University, is currently an associate professor at the School of Software at Beijing Jiaotong University. She is mainly engaged in research on intelligent transportation, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and big data. Her main research directions include track safety monitoring, intelligent operation and maintenance, target detection and recognition, adaptive learning, etc.
Jonathan Foster-Pedley is the Dean and Director of Henley Business School, South Africa, part of Henley Business School UK and the University of Reading. Jonathan is an education designer, academic, coach, learning facilitator and entrepreneur, and is a former airline captain, senior executive in the European aerospace industry and has over 30 years of global business experience. He is a visiting professor in strategy, creativity and innovation, a blogger and writer. He specializes in innovative and rich learning design that develops cognitive rigour, imagination, originality, self-confidence, self-belief, creativity and proactivity.
Juliang Zhang, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Beijing Jiaotong University. Member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Logistics Management and Engineering Majors of the Ministry of Education, Executive Director of the Beijing Operations Research Society, Regional Editorial Board Member of SSCI Journal Business Logistics, mainly engaged in theoretical and applied research on logistics and supply chain management. A total of 75 papers have been published, with 35 indexed in SCI. Has been invited to visit renowned universities such as Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and City University of Hong Kong.
