Organizational Leadership and Trauma
Drawing on emerging scholarship at the intersection of organizational leadership, trauma studies, theology, and organizational behavior, this edited volume advances the academic conversation on how trauma shapes leaders, followers, organizational systems, cultures, identities, communication processes, and ethical decision making. Distinctive in its integration of contemporary organizational research with insights from Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, this book develops a multidisciplinary framework for understanding trauma as both an individual and organizational phenomenon.
Through contributions from scholars across leadership, psychology, ministry, and organizational studies, it examines trauma from multiple analytical perspectives, including organizational systems, culture, trust, history, communication, ethics, and recovery. By engaging topics such as psychological safety, organizational healing, resilience, posttraumatic growth, and leadership formation, it extends existing literature while introducing faith-based perspectives into broader scholarly debates. This volume contributes new conceptual insights and real-world case studies, positioning trauma as a central consideration in contemporary leadership and organizational research.
