This book gathers selected papers presented at the International Scientific Conference “Economics in the Changing World,” held on June 26-27, 2018 at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of Kazan Federal University (Kazan, Russia). Biografische Anmerkung

Safiullin Lenar Nailevich is a Doctor of Economics, Professor, and the Scientific Deputy Director and Head of the Department of Financial Markets and Financial Institutes at Kazan Federal University’s Institute of Management, Economics and Finance. His main research areas are the growth of public welfare in heterogeneous markets; consumer behavior and demand in knowledge-based economies, including problems of information asymmetry; entrepreneurship; and competitiveness, competitive advantages and quality in labor and product markets. Safiullin has published over 100 scientific papers, including 60 papers in international journals included in the Scopus database.

Niyaz Gabdrakhmanov is currently a Research Fellow at the Institute of Education, Higher School of Economics, Russia, and was previously an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance, Kazan Federal University, Russia. His main areas of scientific interest are spatial analysis, geodemography, regional higher education systems, economic and social geography, spatial modeling, geographic information systems, and cartography. Gabdrakhmanov has published over 100 scientific papers.
