Joseph Straus (Director Emeritus of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Member of Academia Europaea) :

The book in unique way demonstrates how diverse, actually indispensable for successful management of technology innovation, the skillful use of available patent data has become. The reader of the book, be a scientist, researcher, technician, economist, academic involved in teaching and research of technological innovation, or politically responsible for it, will receive invaluable guidance.

Hanns Ullrich (Honorary professor, College of Europe):

A broader perspective determines many of the recent essays on the spatio-temporal dimension of patent protection, on the global convergence of patent protection as regards its systemic structure and strength, on international technology diffusion as supported by patents or, even more prominently, on the contribution patents may make to technology cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road Initiative” of the People’s Republic of China.

Dietmar Harhoff (Director of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina):

This collection will serve as a valuable reference for researchers, a teaching resource for universities, and a reliable guide for students and practitioners interested in understanding the dynamics of innovation and intellectual property in a rapidly changing environment.
