The Tribal Code
Leadership is often the art of survival.
The Tribal Code shows what it takes to survive and succeed in a tough world. Tribes have survived far longer, with far fewer resources in far harsher environments than most modern businesses and their leaders. So maybe, just maybe, we can learn something about survival and success from these great survivors.
Tribes survive with fewer resources. Tribal leadership is leadership stripped bare, without all the corporate life support systems which enable us and imprison us. Devoid of HR and IT departments or lengthy manuals, tribes’ core principles rely on clear, high-stakes accountability.
This book is based on 30 years of original research with tribes around the world from a range of cultures and landscapes. It also reflects work with over 100 of the best, and a couple of the worst, companies on our planet. With its unique, inspiring stories and never seen before inspirational images, you will discover timeless lessons of survival and success.
Explore what makes people genuinely want to follow a leader in tough, resource-poor environments, why continuous adaptation is critical and why static "excellence" can lead to a survival dead-end. Build cohesive units and outlast competitors using time-tested tribal strategies. Start leading.
