Effective urban management and public administration are essential to translating technological advances into innovation that benefits cities and their stakeholders. Urban Management for Innovation explores how technology can support decision-making, organisational change, and public service delivery, creating value for citizens, public administrations, and businesses. Bringing together contributions presented at the 3rd Conference on Smart Cities, held in Genoa, Italy, in April 2026, the volume adopts a multidisciplinary perspective on the managerial challenges facing contemporary cities. It examines technology as a resource for strengthening urban governance, improving resource allocation, and supporting coordination across organisations and sectors. Particular attention is paid to innovation, administrative capacity, and stakeholder collaboration. The book offers researchers, policymakers, public managers, and professionals, insights into managing urban transformation and building more effective, responsive, and inclusive cities.
