Vietnam and ESG
The growing global demand for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards calls for context-specific research in emerging economies, where rapid industrialization meets sustainability challenges. “Vietnam & ESG Standards – Toward a New Paradigm” offers the first comprehensive exploration of ESG adoption and implementation in Vietnam, a country at the crossroads of economic growth and environmental responsibility. Its chapters cover a wide range of sectors—including banking, manufacturing, food supply chains, logistics, digital transformation, and green accounting. Through empirical studies, case analyses, and theoretical insights, this book demonstrates the drivers of ESG performance, the impact on financial outcomes, and the role of technology, innovation, and regulation in shaping sustainable practices. By examining how firms and policymakers navigate ESG opportunities and constraints and linking Vietnam’s experience to broader debates on responsible business, this book provides academics, practitioners, and policymakers with valuable knowledge for advancing ESG research and fostering sustainable growth in emerging markets.
