This book is a timely and valuable guide for innovators, designers, managers, and students who want to integrate AI in their design thinking processes and projects. It begins with an overview of how AI can be used in design thinking and the need for the reskilling of designers of the future.

The book then highlights how AI can support and enhance each phase of the design thinking process—prepare & train, emphasize & define, ideate & select, prototype & test, and implement & learn. It also explores how AI programs can elevate the success of the design thinking process, offering a solution to the challenge of producing creative outcomes that are also “faster, better and cheaper”.

In the final sections, readers are encouraged to consider the future of AI for innovation, including the use of AI agents and various AI program resources useful across phases of design thinking.

Created through a collaboration of design and business scholars with experienced designers, this book blends rich knowledge and practical insight. Packed with real-world use cases, examples, and practical tools, it serves as a valuable resource for both educational and professional settings.
