Cui Jianyuan is currently director of the Academic Committee of the Civil and Commercial Legal Science Research Center of Renmin University of China, Professor of Law School of Tsinghua University, senior professor of liberal arts of Tsinghua University, distinguished professor of "Changjiang Scholar" of the Ministry of Education, and "Kaiyuan scholar" of Law School of Tsinghua University. He was rated as one of the national top ten outstanding young and middle-aged jurists. He also serves as vice president of the Civil Law Research Society of the China Law Society, specially invited consulting expert of the Supreme People's Court, consulting expert of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and President of the Beijing Property Law Research Society. His teaching and research fields are civil law, including general principles of civil law, property law, contract law, unjust enrichment law, management without cause law and tort liability law (Tort Law).
